Abstract

We investigated the effects of a job applicant’s gender history (transgender vs cisgender) and gender identity (male vs female) on participants’ evaluation of the applicant using participants from MTurk. Results showed an interaction between gender history and gender, such that transgender women are discriminated against most severely.
