Abstract

This study investigated the effects of priming on the autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR). Participants saw a priming video that was either auditorily or visually stimulating. The auditory condition reported higher rates of ASMR than the visual condition which suggests auditory stimulation are essential to understanding the features of ASMR.
