Abstract
We explored how perceiver gender shaped neural responses as 66 participants formed impressions of targets varying in both gender and SES. Analyses indicated significant cross-over interactions between perceiver gender and target status in the VMPFC and right NAcc. Men showed greater activity in both regions for high-status (vs. low-status) targets.
