The Evaluation of Emotional Images Is Related to Individual Differences in Anxiety and Stress

This study assessed how individual differences in anxiety and stress are related to valence and arousal of threatening and non-threatening images. We found an association between these variables such that highly anxious individuals rated non-threatening images as more arousing and highly stressed individuals rated fearful stimuli as more arousing.
