Predicting Attention during Mind-Wandering Using Meaning and Saliency Maps

We examined eye movements of mind-wandering (MW) during scene viewing. Overall, MW was less associated with scene meaningfulness and salience, suggesting attention decouples from the external environment during MW. We also found that meaning maps achieved better prediction of attention than saliency maps did even during MW.
