Abstract

High intensity interval training (HIIT) may be preferable to traditional moderate intensity aerobic exercise (MIAE) due to affective changes that occur during and post-HIIT. Across 20 sedentary females, we found HIIT was reliably more reinforcing than MIAE and the reinforcing value of HIIT was related to affect during not post-HIIT.
