Abstract
Subjective age is a multidimensional and malleable construct of aging. We investigated the effects of cognitive testing on subjective age across three age groups. Results indicated young adults felt younger whereas middle-aged adults felt older following cognitive testing. Contrary to prior research, older adults reported feeling younger following cognitive testing.
