Abstract
In a longitudinal design with 901 college men, more frequent binge drinking prior to college prospectively predicted an increased likelihood of joining a fraternity (selection effect), fraternity membership prospectively predicted sexual aggression (socialization effect), and perceptions of peer aggression mediated the effect of fraternity membership on subsequent sexual aggression.
