Abstract

Religiosity can impact an array of reproductive outcomes. However, a few studies have examined the relationship between religiosity, intrasexual rivalry, and mate retention behaviors in non-Western cultures. Across one correlational and one geo-spatial study, we demonstrate that religiosity predicts intrasexual rivalry and mate retention at province- and individual-levels in Iran.
