Abstract

Polyvictimization, defined as the experience of multiple types of victimization, has been linked with increased posttraumatic stress (PTS) symptoms. Consistent with existing theoretical perspectives, the current study found that difficulties in regulating emotion partially accounted for the association of polyvictimization with PTS symptoms in a sample of young adults.
