Abstract
Older adults’ (N=435) psychometric data reveals visuospatial and narrative memory predict their verbal learning capacity. Executive function and depression are controlled as known predictors for verbal learning decline. While African Americans report higher depression levels than Caucasians, weaker covariance between mental health problems and cognitive performance could indicate protective factors.
