Abstract
This study investigated how receptive parents and their preschool-age children are to cross-gendered play. Parents reported more acceptance of cross-gendered behaviors and play in their daughters than their sons. Additionally, girls reported the desire to play in cross-gendered play areas more than boys. Explanations and implications are discussed.
