Abstract
Students report using ineffective study techniques and could benefit from using evidence-based methods. This project utilized text messaging to support practice testing, distributed practice, interleaved practice, and metacognition. Overall, the level of participation, quiz accuracy, and the accuracy of the exam predictions were significant predictors of exam scores.
