Abstract
This study focused on feelings induced in a self-affirmation task and the correlation between attitudes towards transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) people and personality traits. Results suggest self-affirmation bias induces feelings of connection to others and that traits of perspective-taking, openness, empathy, and flexibility may mediate decreased cisgenderism.
