Children with Behavioral and Learning Disabilities Experience More Mental Health Symptoms Following Exposure to Violence Than Typically Developing Peers

The number of mental health symptoms experienced following exposure to violence was assessed for children with and without emotional, behavioral, and learning disabilities. Children with a disability experienced more symptoms than typically developing children. Furthermore, children with the most symptoms were geographically clustered in regions within Southern and Central Illinois.
