The Role of Natural Mentoring on Mental Health Outcomes in Heterosexual and Sexual Minority Youth

This study examines the long term role of natural mentors on depression, anxiety, and suicidality in heterosexual and sexual minority youth. Preliminary findings reveal that sexual minority youth report higher rates of depression anxiety and suicidality at baseline, and are less likely to be mentored by family than heterosexual youth.
