Abstract
Two studies examined whether misconceptions about brain function and learning can be corrected. We compared the effects of three types of corrections: correct/incorrect feedback, feedback plus an explanation, and feedback plus an explanation and image. Relative to control, results showed that all types of corrections were effective at reducing misconceptions.
