Abstract
Our research examined the relationship between childhood trauma, adversarial sexual beliefs, and rape myth acceptance. Results showed that current adversarial sexual beliefs and childhood witnessing of violence are the strongest risk factors for rape myth acceptance, whereas childhood sexual and emotional abuse are associated with less acceptance of rape myths.
