Learning By Retrieval Practice: Is It Effective for Learning Statistical Concepts?

Abstract
We examined whether retrieval practice could be an effective technique for learning statistical concepts. We also examined whether practicing retrieval of statistical concepts would alleviate the detrimental effects of stereotype threat on females’ math performance. The results showed no effect of retrieval practice on learning and a reversed threat effect.
