Abstract
Drinking in unfamiliar social settings has long been linked to problem alcohol use. Using a novel paradigm that integrated alcohol-administration procedures, event-related potential techniques, and social context, the current study examined the impact of alcohol and social familiarity on P300 amplitude among 120 social drinkers.
