Abstract
Rates of social support (SS) in undergraduates with asthma and allergies were significantly higher than Zimet’s (1988) Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support validation sample. SS correlated positively with positive affect and negatively with general distress, but not significantly with anxious arousal. SS relates to this population’s affect and distress.
