What Predicts College Retention? a Focus on Metacognitive Beliefs, Behaviors, and ACT and High School Gpa

The goal of this project was to examine the predictive validity of certain metacognitive measures and academic measures related to retention in college. First-time freshman completed a series of metacognitive assessments at the beginning and end of their first semester. Several factors predicted retention and subsequent average GPA.
