Abstract

Participants watched movies of everyday activities while audio words were concurrently presented at event boundaries (i.e., during working memory updating) and non-boundaries. Contrary to previous research, we found no boundary benefit on recall memory--concurrent information does not receive an encoding boost from event model updating at event boundaries.
