How Perceptions of BPD and Adolescent Development Affect Diagnostic and Treatment Recommendations

Understanding the overlap in perceptions of Borderline Personality Disorder and typical adolescent development is important to provide the most efficient treatment and diagnostic recommendations. Findings show there is an overlap between perceptions of adolescent development and BPD, yet a mismatch of diagnostic recommendations in comparison to the suggestion of treatment.
