The Domain Specificity of Growth Mindset

Whether Mindset is a “general” or “domain-specific” construct was investigated. 158 college students completed a Growth Mindset Measure. Students were assigned scores of fixed, variable, and growth mindset across all domains. Chi-square analyses suggested greater stability for growth than fixed mindset, with differences noted between cognitive and creative domains.
