Abstract
We examined body dissatisfaction and mother-daughter cohesion as predictors of adolescent girls’ bulimia symptoms. Hierarchical multiple regression analyses indicated a significant interaction between the two predictor variables. Specifically, daughters with high body dissatisfaction were at an increased risk of bulimia symptoms if they concomitantly experienced low mother-daughter cohesion.
