Being Seen with a White Friend Makes Black Women Seem More Approachable to White Observers

Abstract
When a Black woman is perceived to be friends with a White woman, White observers’ interest in befriending her is more strongly predicted by their ratings of her perceived approachability than when this Black woman is seen with friends of darker complexions (i.e., a light or dark complexioned Black woman).
