Relationship between Personal Distress and Nucleus Accumbens Volume Moderated By Childhood Trauma

This study assessed the relationship among personal distress, nucleus accumbens (NAc) volume, and childhood trauma, using neuroimaging. Reduced left NAc volume was related to increased personal distress in low-trauma individuals, whereas the association between reduced right NAc volume and increased personal distress was found among those with high-trauma.
