Abstract
Dissociation and suppression both involve the inhibition of experience and may be involved with emotion regulation. The relationship between these concepts is not well studied. Findings from this study indicate a relationship between general dissociation and thought suppression, with evidence of expressive suppression being related to normative dissociation specifically.
