Abstract
We used a data-driven approach to identify a frequency threshold at which nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI) is associated with greater clinical severity of psychopathology and increased suicide risk among a sample of high-risk community adolescents. Five or more past-year acts of NSSI was associated with significantly greater suicide risk.
