Abstract
Socio-emotional skill measurements are validated largely for European and US contexts questioning their generalizability. We use growth mindset and sense of belonging scales with historically unrepresented adolescent rural Indian girls under a youth participatory action research framework to produce contextual scales using a mixed method approach.
