Exploring the Affective Impact of Stress Inductions

Prior research has demonstrated the negative effects of financial stress on mental and physical health, yet a standardized lab induction of financial stress has not been validated. Results suggest that participation in any stress induction decreases positive affect, whereas the hard financial stress condition decreased negative affect.
