Predictors of Intrinsic Cost of Cognitive Control

In this study (N=230) we examined the relationships between the intrinsic cost of cognitive control measured by a cognitive effort discounting task and variables that should act as crucial determinants of such cost: intelligence, executive functions, subjective perceptions of effort and willpower, self-control and motivation to engage in effortful tasks.
