Abstract

OLM refer to experienced engagement: individual feels interested, challenged and capable to finish. 282 high school students, Experience Sampling questionnaire alerted (18 signals in total; 3882 responses) their academic emotions and motivation. When students indicated that they were in OLM, they were concentrating, experiencing positive emotions, in control.
