Short Exposures to Both Low- and High-Realistic Virtual Scenes Are Effective in Reducing Irrational Height Fear

We exposed participants to virtual environment created with high and low levels of realism for two 5-min sessions and compared their degree of anxiety before and after the virtual exposure. Our results showed that virtual exposure was effective in reducing height fear, regardless of the level of realism.
