Abstract

This study examined how an electroencephalography component known as the error-related negativity (ERN) varies with social anxiety during a facial flanker task. Results showed a significant correlation between social anxiety and the ERN. This suggests these variables may have a stronger relationship during social processing tasks over nonsocial ones.
