Abstract
The present study investigated the relationship between happiness and donation. We found that prosocials donated more when they experienced pleasure than meaning, and vice versa for individualists. This difference was associated with the value computation in NAc, sgACC, and DMPFC, and VMPFC-DMPFC connectivity during the charitable decision.
