What makes minorities to speak out? The effects of psychological standing, status, and power on the opinion expression of ingroup and outgroup minorities

The current study replicated the previous finding that psychological standing increases the minority opinion expression of outgroup members. Moreover, we found that status and power influences minority opinion differently: status facilitated ingroup minority’s opinion expression only, whereas power facilitated the opinion expression of both ingroup and outgroup minorities.
