Nudging Autonomous Motivation Toward Evacuation Behavior: Experiment Based on an Approaching Typhoons Scenario

Based on the “Nudge” suggested by Thaler & Sunstein (2008), evacuation advisory designed to nudge individuals to go to evacuation shelters promoted receivers’ autonomous motivation and suppressed amotivation toward evacuation behavior. It suggested that nudging frame message clearly states the meaning of evacuation behavior and receivers internalize it.
