Abstract

Hoarding Disorder produces excessive clutter in living spaces, compromising their use and functionality. These conditions may be conducive to prolonged, frequent episodes of boredom. In two online studies, boredom was significantly related to hoarding symptoms in non-clinical samples. This relationship was independent of many correlates of hoarding disorder.
