Self-Referential Thought Increases Alpha Oscillations

Abstract
The EEG alpha power at rest has been linked to self-referential thought. However, it is not clear if this link can be established by manipulating the thought content within an event-related paradigm. Here, we found that the alpha power increases when a reference is made to the self.
