Abstract
Violent media exposure is associated with distress among children. Parents' behaviors can mitigate child anxiety, but parents from different cultural backgrounds may rely on different strategies. We examined relationships among violent media exposure, parent's strategies managing that exposure and child anxiety, and whether associations vary as a function of race.
