- Sanah Munir

Abstract
The relationship between parenting, security of attachment, and personality were examined. Findings indicate that a fearful attachment style was related to maternal permissiveness and authoritarianism. Authoritative parenting was related to conscientiousness and extraversion, while authoritarian parenting was related to neuroticism. Findings have implications for interventions in reducing fearful attachment.
