Abstract

Individuals with Trichotillomania and Excoriation Disorder (M=106.99, SD=18.48, n=133) scored higher on a measure of boredom proneness than a comparison group (M=99.43, SD=19.72, n=155); t(286.763)=3.34, p=.001. Individuals with these disorders (M=21.02, SD=4.77) also scored higher on a subscale measuring lack of internal stimulation (M=16.26, SD = 4.77); t(286)=7.6, p=.000.
