Mind-Body Predictors of Somatic Symptoms in Trauma-Affected Youth

The goal of this research was to better understand predictors of stress-related somatic symptom presentation in 430 trauma-affected, low-income, middle school youth in a large midwestern city. Hierarchical linear regression analysis highlighted the importance of mindfulness and social-emotional learning (SEL) as predictors of lower somatic symptoms.
