To Listen or Not to Listen: Music as a Potential Studying Tool for Extraverts

Abstract

The current study tested college students on information learned with and without background music playing. We found that extraversion level determined the effect of music on learning, such that those high in extraversion benefited more from background music. Potential applications of music as a study tool for extraverts are discussed.
