Predicting Partner and Friend Avoidance from Parent Avoidance and Postformal Thought

The current study ran two hierarchical multiple regressions to predict partner and best friend avoidance from parent (mother and father) avoidance and postformal thought. Postformal thought was a significant predictor in stage one of both regressions but was not significant once parent avoidance was added. Valuable implications are discussed.
