The Effect of Stress on Language Use in Youth's Self-Narratives

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of stress on youth’s use of language in self-narratives. Stress had a significant effect on the use of informal language, affect and positive emotion terms. Sex was also significantly associated with use of affect and personal concern terms.
