Abstract

Analyzing Google search data, most searched theoretical orientations were found (in descending order): Cognitive, behavioral, psychoanalytic/psychodynamic, Gestalt, integrative, existential, and humanistic. Search trends (2004 - 2019) revealed cognitive therapy was among the most searched; psychodynamic showed increases, while psychoanalytic decreased. Overall, data matched demographic research on practitioner orientations.
