Abstract
The path to a Ph.D. can be stressful for many students, which may contribute to attrition. We examined whether quality of adviser-student meetings and students’ levels of mindfulness predicted stress among first-year Ph.D. students. Meeting quality predicted lower stress among students high in mindfulness but not students low in mindfulness.
